What I Want - Views From The Six

Artist reviewed by:

It’s January, and all I want is for Views from the Six to drop. Drake has been teasing us all with pictures of him in the studio, grinding away at what has to be Views. The hype is more than real, it’s actually killing me to be honest. Drake is an astounding artist and I can only imagine what this upcoming release will be filled with. Matter of fact, here is what I’d love to hearfrom him in his next release.

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late was good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn’t high quality Drake like we’re used to. Legend, 6 God, and No Tellin’ were really good songs, but it just didn’t hit the spot. I feel like Drake can do a thousand times better. It was a good mixtape so don’t think I was disappointed, anything new from Drake I’ll listen to and most likely enjoy. However, Views has the potential to blow other artists out of the water. Just take a second to think about it, there’s been so much that has happened in the past year that Drake could use as fuel. The Meek Mill beef, Hotline Bling being a total success, and his amazing relationship with Jordan brand. These are simply just a few happenings that Drake could bounce ideas off of.

I want to hear Drake in is true form; soft yet stern and deep with meaning in every lyric. Every song needs to be different, yet at the same time it needs to be relevant. Old Drake is just pure class and I would love to see him revert back to his old self. Remember Thank Me later and So Far Gone? Yeah, they’re both really old but that style of his really doesn’t age. Instead of going for the heavy, bass boosted rap that some other artists make, I hope he delves back into the lyrical, meaningful songs that helped start and shape his career in the music industry.

Drake’s sound is his and his only, no one can really match it or even really impersonate it. This is key because that means he can basically do whatever he wants, because he’s that talented. To see Drake go back to his roots is just a dream of mine that I hope will come true, but if it doesn’t, there’s plenty of other options on the table.

The album will definitely have other artists featured in songs, and we can basically bet on Future making an appearance. As to any other artists making a feature, your guess is as good as mine. However, I’d love to see artists like Kanye and maybe even Rihanna make their way onto the album.

All in all, no matter how this plays out, I know that no matter what, I’m buying the album the second it releases. I hope that you feel the same and I hope our ears can be blessed with the 6 God’s sweet serenades very, very soon. But until then, we can only wait and hope for the best from Drizzy himself.

(These are just my personal beliefs and what I’d love to see from Drake. Be sure to leave a comment on what you’d like to see from the 6 God himself.)
